Your tasks – Challenging & varied
As a Sales & Tender Manager, you will take on a key interface role between Sales, Management, specialist departments, and our clients’ external requirements. You will identify suitable tenders and market opportunities, evaluate them from both a commercial and strategic perspective, and manage the entire bid process from start to finish.
This role goes far beyond coordination. You will develop concepts, presentations, proposals, and pricing models that are professionally sound, well-structured, persuasive, and customer-oriented.
Your responsibilities include:
- Researching and evaluating public and private tenders as well as new business opportunities for the SOMI Group
- Reviewing tender documents, identifying requirements, opportunities, risks, and decision criteria, and deriving a clear bid strategy
- Managing the entire bid process, including internal task coordination, timeline management, stakeholder alignment, and on-time submission
- Creating compelling proposal concepts, presentation materials, management summaries, and other tender-related documents
- Working closely with Sales, Recruiting, Managed Services, Software, Academy, and Management to develop tailored client solutions
- Supporting pricing and commercial calculations and preparing decision-making foundations for management
- Presenting proposals and concepts internally or directly to clients when required
- Continuously improving our bid management processes by building standards, templates, and quality frameworks, while integrating modern tools, especially LLMs and AI-supported workflows, into the process in a meaningful way.
Your profile – Convincing & Ambitious
- You have experience in Bid Management, Tender Management, Consulting, Business Development, Project Management, or a comparable role where complex topics needed to be structured and presented convincingly.
- You are able to quickly understand challenging content, prioritize effectively, and translate information into clear, target-oriented concepts.
- You have a strong sense for presentation materials, storytelling, proposal structure, and professional external communication.
- You work in an organized and reliable manner and are able to maintain an overview even when managing multiple deadlines, stakeholders, and extensive documentation simultaneously.
- You bring a solid commercial understanding and feel confident preparing pricing and proposal calculations or are willing to quickly build up expertise in this area.
- You are confident using common LLMs and AI tools and understand how to apply them productively for research, structuring, content creation, and quality assurance.
- You enjoy working collaboratively within a team but are also capable of driving topics independently and preparing decisions proactively.
- Very good German language skills are essential; English skills are considered a plus.
